'Show us the video': New video offers additional perspective on Downtown Cincinnati brawl

New video footage has emerged that's offering additional perspectives on the downtown Cincinnati brawl: https://bit.ly/45h9QWb Black leaders are urging authorities to charge the individual responsible for a slap during the altercation. State Representative Cecil Thomas expressed concern over the rising tensions in the community, attributing them to the lack of information surrounding the investigation. "Right now, the temperature is continuing to rise in the community," said Thomas. The new angle shows a man in red throwing a punch, followed by another individual attempting to break up the fight. This occurred before the slap by a man in white, which has been a focal point of the controversy. Despite the new footage, Thomas remains firm in his stance, advocating for charges against the man seen delivering the slap. "I believe they rushed to charge these individuals without realizing that there was a lot more information out there," said Thomas. David Whitehead, president of the Cincinnati NAACP, echoed Thomas's sentiments, emphasizing the need for a fair judicial process. "It's important that there's an opportunity for everybody to have their fair day in court. And we're not feeling that way right now," said Whitehead. Whitehead maintained his position on the incident. "It doesn't change my perspective because there have been very credible witnesses, and there's been things shown where the man that did the slap was the aggressor, and he had continued to be the aggressor up to the point where the fight started," said Whitehead. Thomas called for transparency, urging authorities to release all available footage. "Show us, show us the pictures, show us the video. That's all. But as long as you don't show us the video, the temperature in the community continues to rise," said Thomas.
