And later in this video I’m going to show you the exact business I purchased And for all those YouTubers that have said that the Amazon FBA business model is dead? Well I’m actually putting money where my mouth is and telling you that this is far from the truth. And for a quick summary of what Amazon FBA is? This is where you ship you items into an Amazon warehouse and Amazon fulfills the order for you without having to store, pick, pack and ship to a customer yourself. There are different ways to do Amazon FBA but the way that I do it and the business that I purchased is the private label route. Which is take an existing product, create a name and trademark and marketing it to people that have the potential to fall in love with your brand. I have been doing Amazon FBA for right about 4 years now and if you follow this Youtube channel at all, you know the exact products I sell. I take you along the success and the failures at the same time. Right now might be the scariest time to do Amazon FBA and that’s because we are starting to see trends where eCommerce sales are down, Amazon aggregators are going out of business, Amazon PPC and cost are all time highs. But just like Warren Buffet says, when there is blood on the streets, that’s the time to purchase things you have high convictions on and that exactly where I am with Amazon FBA. And over the last year, buying an Amazon FBA business has always been a goal and it finally happened. I was able to purchase this brand here called “MVRK”. This brand sells a variety of different products in the fitness niche. This includes the weighted vest I have on, running chest packs, chest bags, vest, and gym bags. And the question you might ask is why this brand? Well that’s because it is a completely undervalued business Every Monday I go onto Empire Flippers to look at business for sale Empire Flippers is a marketplace that specifically focuses on Amazon FBA business and based on my research has been the best marketplace out there If you are interested in learning about them, I will leave their website in the bio and comment below. But this business was selling at a fair valuation which was right around a 4x annual profit. Which means if I let the business run without making any changes, I can expect to make my money back within 4 years. But there was so much untapped potential I can reduce cost in many ways The seller would air ship their best selling product rather than sea ship MOQ were low so I can negotiate with the supplier to lower Cost per unit I can accelerate marketing Enhanced Brand Content was not being used Amazon PPC was running out of budget by 11am. And the best part about this business, it felt as if there was no other buyer looking to purchase this business A year ago, if I didn’t wire the purchase price within 24 hours of a good business being listed, the company was going to be bought out by someone else. It goes to show you how much of a buyers market it is right now I was able to negotiate on price where instead of paying 4x annual profit, I was able to get it closer to 2x annual profit and I was able to doing a payment structure so I have 12 months to full pay for the business.
