Welcome back to another PHPRunner Tips and Tricks session where we build a clean, responsive vertical timeline widget. This widget is designed to be used in a code snippet on the dashboard. What You Will Learn: In this tutorial, we demonstrate a lightweight and dynamic solution for showcasing data such as project milestones, historical events, product releases, or any data you wish to present in a simple linear flow. The example is inspired by CSS-Script.com. We show the simple setup using a Calendar and a Dashboard, and how to implement the logic: • Using straightforward PHP code in the Before Display event to read data (in this case, calendar data) and build an array. • Passing the populated array to JavaScript using the setProxyValue method. • The JavaScript OnLoad event contains the code that handles the visualization. • The visualization is not limited to calendar data and can be used with any kind of linear, time-based data,. • How to embed the necessary CSS and JavaScript files (which do the heavy lifting) using header.htm under Custom Files. The result is a fully functional timeline widget that displays data coming directly from the source, even handling null values for missing information,.
