context: I'm currently working on doing a Living Dex on my Pokémon Home account. I've caught many Pokémon, evolved many Pokémon, breed many Pokémon. And throughout my journey these 6 Pokémon have helped me achieve my goal. I wanted to give all 6 the Kalos Champion Ribbon so I challenged Diantha again. As a token of appreciating these 6 for helping me. Aswell as giving them names. Name explanation: Tyranitar = Godzilla Talonflame = Ariel Ditto = Gene Vileplume = Bella Gourgiest = Vincent Alomomola = Moana Godzilla - Tyranitar Kinda self explanatory. Level 100, sweeps the battles by one shotting everything. Plus Tyranitar looks like Godzilla. Ariel – Talonflame It fits beautifully. Graceful but powerful. And it subtly nods to air without being too on-the-nose. She flies me everywhere across the regions and its also feminine name (since it's a girl). Which Id picture her as a mother considering her ability is flame body which helps reduce the amount of steps needed to hatch an egg. Gene – Ditto. This is clever. Genetics. Generation. DNA. He literally is the gene pool. And also Gene is considered a Unisex name. So when it comes to breeding, he passes the genes of the other Pokémon to make whatever Pokémon I desire to hatch. And he has no gender but I tend to call him a he. Belle – Vileplume Elegant. Soft. Pretty. But also capable of putting Pokémon to sleep without mercy. Beauty with battlefield control. And fits his sweet scent move because sweet scent smells beautiful. Sweet scent is useful because it attracts hordes of Pokémon. Which is extremely useful for catching Pokémon that can only be found in Hordes. The ultimate femboy. Vincent – Gourgeist Vincent has mysterious, slightly gothic, pumpkin-lantern vibes. It sounds artistic and a little eerie. Perfect for a Frisk user lurking in the tall grass. Originally I wanted a name that sounded creepy and stalkerish... but unsurprisingly theres no names like that so I settled for something Gothic yet still conveys the ability Frisk. He's useful because Frisk allows me to catch Pokémon that have a held item. In some cases Pokémon have certain held items that may be required on my quest, such as items needed for evolution purposes. Moana – Alomomola Ocean traveler. Region-crossing MVP. Warm. Gentle. Strong. It fits her story role as being the my main Pokémon in Hoenn. She is just like Moana. Which does mean "ocean" in Polynesian. And she travels through different islands just like Moana! Shes a voyager. And when its time to find home, she knows the way.
