The demo includes many ways of working from static to dynamic. As O'Cain reworks each example over the course of the video, he shows how even small changes in color can have an effect on the dynamics of the painting. Frank O'Cain is an important instructor at the Art Students League of New York, introducing generations of students to the basic principles of Abstract Painting developed by Cezanne and Hans Hofmann.
