The traditional fishing village of Spartia is located 12 kilometres from the island capital, Argostoli, and is popular due to its unspoilt natural beauty. Close to the village Spartia in the Municipal Department of Livathos is Klimatsias beach. It’s a small, sandy beach, surrounded by steep cliffs and this part is used as a small port for boats. The beach view is impressive from a geological point of view, since there is a geological plate impact point above sea level. At the rocky part of the beach, the rock is extremely smooth and vertical. Next to the beach is a specially formed and aesthetically pleasing complex, which functions as a café and tavern and blends into the environment harmoniously. The Spartia Beach is liked by fans of long-distance swims and snorkeling: you can go swimming in the nearby beach of Termanti watching the underwater world with colorful starfish and scurrying fish lazily lying on the bottom.
