Training My Endurance Pony || Interval Training with Dusty || Schooling Uncut Episode 2

Join me and my 13-year-old endurance pony, Dusty, as we kick off the new season with some interval training! In this video, I take you through our warm-up routine before interval training, show how I manage the timing (without a watch 🫣), and some bonus chaos at the end when the rest of the herd decide to join in on the fun! Dusty does a bit of everything but endurance is her one true love! As we prepare for the upcoming season, I'm upping her work to get her fit and ready for the challenges ahead, namely Pembrey at the end of April. Interval training is a crucial part of that for us as we have very few places to hack with soft going or anywhere we can do continuous trot or canter work. Over the coming weeks (This was filmed in the middle of March) I have upped her interval work incrementally and am now doing longer stretches of trot. Of course we're still doing long slow rides round the lanes utilistng our MASSIVE hills for fitness. Do you do interval training with your horses?
