Plugs : Making a UK to AU / NZ Pin Configuration Convertor.

This is a 2-section video where both parts are stitched into one. Section One: I prepare the piece of 1.5mm flex to accept the Australian / New Zealand extension lead socket. The socket is made by HPM, it is a Genuine Australian product, and is rated for 15 Amps I do explain a variety of things in Section One as I go along. :-) At the end of Section One, there will be an Advert Commercial Break, and Section Two follows immediately after. You don't need to return at a later time to see the other part. It is right here in this video! YAY! Section Two: This is the section where I attach the British 13A plug to BS 1363. Upon opening the plug, it was found that there was a 3A fuse in there. This will be exchanged for a 13A fuse, which is to BS 1362. The flex between the two accessories is 1.5mm in cross-sectional area, and will quite happily accept 13 Amps at 240 volts, equivalent to 3,120 watts of power. After wiring the British plug onto the flex, I then try out a non-energised trial of a 2-pin BoomBox power cord into the Australian socket.
