Memory Distortion

My film was created to represent the fact 'A human mind can create, exaggerate or reinvent a memory'. So therefore I wanted it to convey how memory can sometimes work or feel in the mind. Memories don't always happen in the exact order of events. They sometimes flash forward and backwards and don't necessarily have distinct endings. So in the film I’ve blurred the edges of the story so it felt dreamlike. Amelia the main character is initially seen having a flashback and then we see the memory through her eyes in a disorientating series of events. Starting with being caught drawing graffiti to a chase and then desperately knocking on a series of front doors to find safety. On the chase I added in some floating ballons which were completely out of place but added to the dream-like quality. I have purposely left the ending ambiguous, so it is open-ended as she breaks from the memory and we return to see her in the original location of her flashbacks.
