Through the play with this building set, kids are introduced to the STEM-based concepts of gravity, inertia, simple machines, spring force, and more. If you don’t know, a Rube Goldberg machine is a machine that uses a chain reaction to accomplish a task. With The Garden Challenge, first a basketball hits a sidewalk sign that allows a weight to drop and lift a cage door. Then, a bird will slide down and grab a worm, which pulls down a gutter pipe cueing a pool ball to roll down and bang into the watering can lid.
