Nador Morocco 2022 🇲🇦 Great Culture, Nice Beaches and Fantastic Food! المغرب

Nador Morocco Rif-Mountains 🇲🇦 المغرب Explore Nador: A Hidden Gem on Morocco’s Mediterranean Coast Nestled along Morocco's beautiful Mediterranean coastline, Nador is a vibrant city that blends natural beauty, rich history, and modern culture. Often overlooked by many travelers, Nador offers a unique experience with its serene beaches, stunning landscapes, and close proximity to the border with Melilla, Spain, making it a fascinating blend of Moroccan and European influences. Discover Nador's Stunning Beaches One of the main attractions of Nador is its pristine beaches, which offer a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the more tourist-heavy cities. Marchica Lagoon, one of the largest coastal lagoons in Morocco, is a particular highlight, where visitors can enjoy boat rides, bird watching, and relaxing by the water. The surrounding beaches are ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and exploring, with clear waters and golden sands providing the perfect setting for a day in the sun. For those seeking a more adventurous beach experience, Kariat Arekmane Beach and Ras El Ma Beach are fantastic spots for kite surfing, windsurfing, and other water sports, offering exciting activities for thrill-seekers while still maintaining the quiet charm of the region. A Blend of Cultures and History Though Nador is a modern city, it also holds a deep connection to Morocco's history and the Berber culture. The city is home to many traditional markets, where you can explore local crafts, spices, and fresh produce. Take a stroll through the Souk El Khadra, the main market in the city, to experience the pulse of Nador life. You’ll find everything from handmade leather goods to beautiful textiles, making it a great spot for souvenir shopping. Additionally, Nador’s historical sites include the old city center, mosques, and remnants of the region’s colonial past. The influence of nearby Melilla adds a European flair to the architecture, creating a unique blend of Spanish and Moroccan design in the city’s buildings and public spaces. Explore the Natural Wonders Around Nador For nature enthusiasts, Nador offers plenty of opportunities to explore the countryside and surrounding landscapes. The Berkane Mountains and the Moulouya River provide scenic hiking and outdoor adventures, with lush forests and hills offering a tranquil escape. The area is also home to various species of birds and wildlife, making it a great destination for birdwatching and nature photography. Nador is also known for its Argan trees, and visitors can learn about the process of producing Argan oil, a local commodity prized for its cosmetic and culinary uses. The surrounding villages are rich in traditional craftsmanship, and you can often visit workshops where local artisans create products using age-old techniques. Culinary Delights in Nador Like much of Morocco, Nador is known for its delicious cuisine. The city’s coastal location means seafood is a major highlight, with fresh fish and shellfish available at local restaurants and markets. Try the fish tagine, grilled sardines, or the delicious couscous with seafood. The city’s cafés and eateries offer a chance to sample traditional Moroccan mint tea and pastries, all while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of this charming city. Family Huijbers and Morocco! For us, Morocco is the country we prefer to go to for vacation or to travel through! So why, you may ask? Super hospitable people, lots to see in terms of nature and culture, almost always good weather, lovely sea and beaches, cozy cities (big, medium and small), beautiful mountains (High-Middle-Low Atlas), affordable, unique deserts (Zagora, Merzouga, Western Sahara) and great food (Tagine, Kefta, Couscous, Bastilla, Dates, Tea etc). In addition, being so close to Europe it is a truly different environment, a unique place! You can also fly easily and affordably with Ryanair from Weeze (Dusseldorf Niederrhein), Eindhoven, Rotterdam and Charleroi. In 2030 the World Cup will be in Morocco, after that the pristine will be gone and we will go to Algeria for the second time, similar to Morocco (the Morocco of the 90s). Until then, we will definitely go back to Morocco every year. So follow our various vlogs of this amazing country!
