The question - "Do I really need a Ubiquiti Unifi Access Hub per door or gate?" We are often asked this question. The short answer is that you do in most cases. The longer answer is that if you have one door/gate using dry contacts (no 12v supply) and one door/gate using 12v, you can use the Ubiquiti UA-Hub-Gate to control both independently. We created this video to show the principles of setting it up (not the wiring side of things) and the two unique controls you get in both the Unifi Access App and the Unifi Identity App. Please use the chapters; they will help you! 00:00 - Introduction 01:26 - Look at the Ubiquiti Unifi Access UA-Hub-Gate 01:50 - Dry and Active Contacts 03:20 - Connecting UA Hub Gate to a PoE Injector & Network 04:55 - Adopting the UA-Hub-Gate to the Ubiquiti Controller (UNVR in our case) 05:35 - Defining the Gate Opening Options 06:20 - Defining Terminal Contact Settings 07:20 - Two gate/doors defined and useable 08:45 - Adding Users / Door Attendants to allow remote control of the doors/gates 10:05 - Selecting Paired Devices 10:50 - Disabling an individual door 11:10 - Example of a Paired Device 12:32 - Example in Unifi Access App 13:00 - Example in Unifi Identity App 14:00 - Adding a G3-Intercom to the UA-Hub-Gate 15:59 - Adopting the G3-Intercom 16:55 - Can you open the doors/gates independently with different Pin Codes/QR Codes? 18:55 - Outro
