As the SK-1100 gives the SG-1000 the ability to load tape software, thought a quick test using the Megacart and Multicart might be interesting. TL;DW ... too long; didn't watch: [1] The Megacart worked ... tape software loaded, and even BASIC Level IIIB worked (the original cartridge doesn't work!) [2] The Multicart Mark II didn't work ... reason from Nick is below: "Unfortunately the original Multicart won't work with a SG-1000 / SG-1000 II / Mark III because the cartridge port doesn't pass out all the signals the Multicart needs. It doesn't matter that the SK-1100 is attached as some of the cartridge port signals are still missing. I figured out how to synthesise those signals for the Megacart when I redesigned it back in 2018 so it would work with both SC-3000 and SG-1000. You can see the details here (scroll down to "Getting I/O Port ..."): https://sc3000-multicart.com/megacart... It looks a little incomplete and there are a couple of errors. But it covers the important details." SC-3000 Survivors Mutlicart & Megacart: https://www.sc3000-multicart.com/ diereses (noun): Plural form of dieresis [1] A mark ( ¨ ) placed over the second of two adjacent vowels to indicate that they are to be pronounced as separate sounds rather than a diphthong, as in naïve. [2] A mark ( ¨ ) placed over a vowel, such as the final vowel in Brontë, to indicate that the vowel is not silent.
