Work with 2 strands of worsted weight yarn, 8 mm straight knitting needles Leaving a 10 inch long yarn end, cast on: Age 1 to 3: 16 stitches Age 3 to 5: 18 stitches Age 5 to 12: 20 stitches Age 12 to 16: 22 stitches Adult: 24 stitches 1. Knit every row until the rectangle is as long as the foot 3. Cast off leaving a long yarn end. 4. Thread into a needle, and weave through the last row of stitches, pull to gather up tightly and close up the toe end of the slipper. Then sew up the top of the foot. (Sew ½ of the total length of the slipper.) Thread the yarn end from the other end of the slipper into a needle, and sew up the heel end of the slipper.
