That is the question that we decided to answer today! At £332 per kilo, it is definitely an unaffordable option for most standard soap recipes, but what if you want to make an extra special bar? Can the claims that it will last in soap be believed? Today we put it to the test to see if the scent does stick after the cure without being anchored with clays or other essential oils. We used our standard soap recipe to create this bar, which is as follows: Sodium Hydroxide 109g Water 200g Coconut oil 184g Shea Butter 75g Cocoa Butter 38g Olive Oil 340g Sweet Almond Oil 99g Castor Oil 57g We then split the batter into three equal portions and added 8g of Sweet Orange essential oil to the first portion, 8g of 5 Fold Orange essential oil to the second portion and 8g 10 Fold Orange essential oil to the third portion.
