Sega Rally Championship - Classic Arcade Racing Game (Sega Model 2 1994)

Sega Rally Championship was the first title in Sega's long running rally racing game series. The game was first released to arcade in 1994, and ran on Sega's Model 2 arcade hardware (Developed by Sega's AM3 studios). The game features 3 main tracks, including the Desert, Mountain, and Forest tracks. Racing position starts play off at last place. The start position of the 2nd and 3rd stage is carried over from the previous stage, starting players off in the same position they previously finished in. There's also 2 rally cars to race with, including the Lancia Delta HF Integrale (which we showcased in the video), and the Toyota Celica GT-Four. The Sega Saturn console version featured the original 2 cars, along with a third, the Lancia Stratos HF. The game play featured heavy drifting around winding off road race tracks. The game's design and development was led by Kenji Sasaki, who previously worked on Namco's hit arcade racing game Ridge Racer.
