The rise in cases of hysterectomy or the surgical procedure for uterus removal in India has been a cause of concern in recent years. More young women are now undergoing surgical procedure, affecting their physical as well as mental health! With the high rate of hysterectomy in many regions of the nation, more thorough research employing a lifecycle approach is required, in addition to counselling and education on women's reproductive rights and responsible decision-making.
