Hongo was borned from the ruins of s. XX. and started its musical activity in the 2000. Its members were (and are) involved in a lot of parallel band projects so from the beginning Hongo was not considerate as a new band. In fact, bands like Madame Germen, SL'S3, Nashgul, Ictus and Black Panda were created by its own members before. These bands, with Ekkaia and themselves, are considerate as the authentic reference of the "Spanish crust scene" which have a lot of fans around the world. Away from this, Hongo has been one of the most active Spanish bands. They have five studio albums; they made six European tours, five Spanish tours, two Portuguese tours and a lot of national and international gigs in festivals of all kinds. They recently participated in the "Unicorn Blood" original soundtrack. A short film made by writer, illustrator and comic maker Alberto Vazquez; which was nominated for best animated short film at Goya Awards 2015. This short has won countless internationals awards and, as Hongo´s music, is tremendously nihilistic and critical with our society. About its music, you could say it is an unclassifiable band playing sludge-crust-metal melodic black- sounds which be able to create a dark and epic atmosphere that occasionally can remember bands like Neurosis with a tremendously personal sound and composition....  / hongometal
