Making Honey Mead

I’m really excited to be using my Home Grown honey from the bee hive to produce my own Mead. This alcoholic beverage is made with 1 demijohn, 1 rubber stopper and water valve 1.6 kg of honey 4 litres of filtered water 1 cinnamon stick 1 clove 1 orange 1 teaspoon White wine yeast from brewing supplies store 1 teaspoon of Yeast nutrient Melt the honey in hot water Add remaining cool water Add yeast and yeast nutrient Add orange cut in eighths, cinnamon and clove Add stopper/ valve to demijohn. The yeast combined with the sugars in the honey produces carbon dioxide and alcohol.
