Prophet Muhammad’s birth was a moment of immense joy for his family. His grandfather, Hazrat Abdul Muttalib, was overjoyed upon receiving the news of the blessed child’s arrival . He carried the newborn to the Ka‘bah in Mecca, thanking Almighty Allah for this gift, and seeking His blessings for the infant . On the seventh day after the birth, Abdul Muttalib followed tradition by sacrificing an animal and inviting the people of Makkah to a grand feast (known as the Aqiqah) in honor of his grandson . It was during this celebration that he chose the baby’s name Muhammad, which means “the praised one.” He explained that he wanted his grandson to be praised by all of God’s creation, in the heavens and on earth . This unique name was uncommon among the Arabs of that time, but Abdul Muttalib felt divinely inspired to name the child Muhammad, hoping that the world would come to admire and honor him . Indeed, the joyous grandfather’s hopes reflected the great destiny awaiting the newborn. Meanwhile, Bibi Fatima bint Asad – the Prophet’s loving aunt (and wife of Hazrat Abu Talib) – was by Lady Amina’s side during the miraculous birth. She witnessed astonishing signs accompanying the newborn’s arrival. It is said that a radiant light suddenly rose and spread from east to west across the horizon as baby Muhammad (PBUH) was born . The house echoed with unearthly voices and a divine glow, indicating that this was no ordinary child. Overwhelmed with wonder, Fatima bint Asad rushed to Hazrat Abu Talib to share the amazing news of his nephew’s birth and the miraculous events she had seen . She described the dazzling light and the otherworldly atmosphere surrounding the birth , leaving Abu Talib astonished and joyful at the honor bestowed upon their family. Upon hearing his wife’s account, Hazrat Abu Talib smiled and offered her a glad tidings of his own. In that excited moment, he revealed a remarkable prophecy to Fatima bint Asad: “After thirty years, a son will be born to you who will be like this newborn in every aspect, except prophethood.” Abu Talib assured her that just as Allah had blessed the family with Muhammad (PBUH) now, another special child would be born into their household in the future . This prophecy was a divine hint about the birth of their own son, Ali, years later – a child who would grow up to mirror Muhammad’s character and righteousness in every way, though not a prophet . Nearly thirty years after the Prophet’s birth, this promise came true when Imam Ali (AS) was born to Fatima bint Asad, inside the holy Ka‘bah itself according to tradition. Ali would go on to become the Prophet’s closest companion, spiritual legatee and the revered leader of the faithful – perfectly reflecting the Prophet’s virtues but without the mantle of prophethood . The family was overjoyed by Abu Talib’s words; in the glow of baby Muhammad’s birth, they now also looked forward to the future arrival of another blessed boy. In this way, the House of Hashim celebrated the Prophet’s birth not only with gratitude and love, but also with hope and anticipation for the future – marveling at how Allah’s plan was unfolding through their lineage. #KidsCorner #SeeratUnNabi #RabiUlAwwal #MiladUnNabi #ProphetMuhammad #FamilyOfTheProphet #AbdulMuttalib #FatimaBintAsad #AbuTalib #ImamAli #HayatUlQuloob #IslamicStories #UrduIslamicStories #UrduStorytelling #mawlidalnabi
