Canada’s population has grown 34.6% since 2000. Now what?

On today’s episode of the Candice Malcolm Show, Candice discusses a viral chart trending online today. How many of the major problems in Canada are downstream of immigration? Crime, cost of living, inflation, terrorism, antisemitism, etc. are all in part caused by our policies of mass immigration. Candice discusses why we need to change course, and why she hosts this podcast and launched this news network. We are here to promote free speech, open dialogue and civic debate, she says, and we’re here to move the Overton window so that we can have more discussion out in the open. She talks about the reaction and fallout from her debate on Monday with Daniel Tyrie of the Dominion Society. Candice goes through some of the criticism about the episode, including from former Conservative immigration minister and former Premier of Alberta Jason Kenney who called Daniel “racist.” Candice responded by saying it isn’t racist to want to end mass migration or to deport people who don’t belong in Canada. Candice goes on to say that Establishment voices like Kenney calling this discussion “racist” do so in order to close the Overton window and prevent conservatives from having a meaningful debate. For the record, Candice states that she does not agree with Daniel Tyrie on the strict ethnic definition of a Canadian, and she doesn’t endorse a remigration policy of trying to deport legal citizens out of Canada. But a journalist's job is not to agree or disagree with an interview subject, but instead to allow the audience to hear both sides and make up their mind. Either way, Juno News successfully brought the issue of mass migration into the news cycle this week and encouraged millions of Canadians to think about and debate this important issue.
