Drywall Plasterboard Socket Installation full step by step, In this video i have installed a socket on a drywall or plasterboard this is a complete step by step video to help you learn how to install a socket on a drywall and how to do all the wiring and connections and hide the cables. so letFixit... Firstly mark the desired location/position for installation and make sure their is no stud where you want to install a drylining box to do that you can either get a stud finder from a hardware store or install a free app from a play store or apple store any good metal detector app and try to locate the stud. You would need few things for this project such as: Socket , 35mm drywall lining box, twin and earth 2.5mm grey electric cable, spirit level, plasterboard cutting saw/blade or any suitable tool and a plier. As you can see in this video i wanted to hide all the wires and cables instead of running a duct., to achieve that i came up with an idea to get a connection from another socket from a room write behind this wall, one more thing you need to make sure that their the no joining stud vertically attached between old the new socket if their is obstruction then you will need to change location of a new socket. Make sure to switch off the electricity before installation as you are dealing with live wires.
