https://softres.it/ Summary SR/HR is an abbreviation for Soft Reserve/Hard Reserve. It is a player-invented (not in-game) loot system that uses a predetermined loot selection sheet (wish list) to distribute loot in raids. The in-game loot system used for SR/HR raids is Master Looter (ML). Every item that can drop is designated as either SR and HR before the raid starts. An item cannot be classified as both HR and SR. It has to be one or the other. The group leadership determines which items are HR’d before the raid starts. All players place their SR(s) on any item(s) of their choice that have been designated as SR items. A website tool (https://softres.it/) is typically used, but spreadsheets and other methods also exist. Loot is not distributed according to attendance, performance, size of upgrade, attitude, etc. Some group members will find this system unfair, especially if they are contributing consistently at a high level compared to the average and the best items are given to the lowest performing members. Because of the way loot is distributed, it does not optimize the overall benefit to the group performance. This is an important downside for most competitive / high-end / speed-running / progression groups.
