What is feminist AI and why feminist AI is needed? This webinar presents the principles and politics that inform feminist Artificial Intelligence. The talk also discusses the work being done to promote the inclusive development of AI technologies in the region. This session will cover the interdisciplinary aims and activities of the Feminist AI Research (fair) network’s MENA research hub, established for investigating the role of digital technologies and innovation in promoting inclusive development across Egypt, the Arab World, and Africa. Speaker: Dr. Nagla Rizk is Professor of Economics at the American University in Cairo and Founding Director of the Access to Knowledge for Development Center and the MENA Observatory on Responsible AI Co-organizers: The Arab Institute for Women, the Center for Innovative Learning, and the Department of Communication, Mobility and Identity.
