These are some of the original 2DAY FM American jingles, before they commissioned a local Australian package and you can hear why. They're super slick but clumsy sounding and sound like inserted jingles that belong back in Dallas, USA. I can see where the narrative type jingles produced locally, after this batch, took their cue from. The Australian jingles were probably Australia's first boutique jingles package, sound crafted to imply a certain mood and feel across the station, where the jingle sounds like a song that blends in with the real music. Making these and then producing from scratch, an ozzie version would have cost a fortune in production time and talent alone, it appears in Australia today, that no one really allocates a budget for real jingles anymore as they're considered unnecessary and $$$ intensive. The squelch sound you hear towards the end is the sound of a cassette tape that has oxidized, soon after this, the tape would not physically move past the tape heads, the end.
