In this video, I'm thrilled to unbox and review my ultimate holy grail collector's figure: the TAKARA TOMY T.H.S. 01 - Galaxy Convoy from the elusive Hybrid Style series. For those who don't know, this figure is a masterpiece of engineering. Released in Japan in 2006, the Hybrid Style (THS) line was a premium collector's series designed to combine the articulation of Microman with the intricate transformation of Transformers . It's incredible to see this level of detail in such a compact, die-cast-heavy figure. This specific release, THS-01, features Galaxy Convoy (known as Optimus Prime in the U.S.) from the 2005 anime series Transformers: Cybertron, which is known as Transformers: Galaxy Force (トランスフォーマー ギャラクシーフォース) in Japan . A Look Back at Transformers: Galaxy Force / Cybertron: Produced by Gonzo and directed by Hiroyuki Kakudō, the series debuted on January 8, 2005 . It follows the Autobots as they race against the Decepticons to find the four Cyber Planet Keys (Planet Force) to stop a massive black hole from destroying the universe . Galaxy Convoy, the heroic Autobot commander, could combine with Leobreaker or Wing Saber to take on even greater forms . It's essentially a mini-masterpiece. It captures the look of the CG model from the anime perfectly but stands only about 6-7 cm tall in robot mode .
