FROM THE BIBLE | Psalm 98:4-6 Shout to the Lord, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy! Sing your praise to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and melodious song,with trumpets and the sound of the ram’s horn. Make a joyful symphony before the Lord, the King! THE BIG POINT How many of you know why you are created?! We were created to worship and praise the LORD!!! Praising God is a lifestyle. When we choose to glorify Him through our actions we praise Him. The Bible says to PRAISE out loud for the marvelous gift He has given us. It is a celebration when we PRAISE and DANCE and “Shout for Joy.” God called David a man after God’s own heart because David was a man of praise (Acts 13:22).When we PRAISE we show God’s worth, and how many know that God is worth A LOT? He created all things including us for His GLORY, HONOR, AND POWER. (Revelation 4:1) We were created to give God glory, He is more than worthy of that honor and praise because He created us and sent His Son to die for us. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO ME? Praise and worship means to show reverence (a deep respect) and adoration, an expression of gratitude. Dancing, singing, jumping, clapping, and shouting for Jesus expresses how much we love Him and are grateful for Him. An amazing thing happens when we offer praise and thanksgiving to God. It brings God joy!!! Then in return our own hearts are filled with joy. Nothing can discourage or hurt a person who has a thankful heart. WHAT CAN I DO THIS WEEK? Everyday pray and let God know how much you appreciate Him. Share with Him what you’re thankful for. Praise Party!!! Either alone or with your friends put on your favorite praise songs and dance for Jesus!! Don’t be shy, go all out with your best moves!! Have an attitude of gratitude…. When you feel a bit bothered or fustrated start to pray. Let God know something you're grateful for and whatever was bothering you will not bother as much anymore.
