Nestled just above Elia Beach on a 14,000 m² plot, Aimasia Residence by A31 Architecture is more than a luxury villa — it’s an architectural dialogue with the island’s heritage and terrain. In Greek, Aimasia refers to the ancient dry‑stone walls that crisscross the Cycladic landscape — the very walls built by generations of farmers to cultivate, protect, and shape the land. In this house, that tradition becomes the spine of the design creating a home out of the ordinary. A 62‑meter-long granite wall, made from local Mykonian stone, gently traces the contours of the site. It anchors the volume, giving structure and subtle drama, as the rest of the building “leans into” it. The residence opens to the south, capturing panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, while to the east it frames an imposing rocky hill with historic terraces and dry‑stone walls — a reminder that this land has stories long before the current home. 💬 What’s your favorite feature of Aimasia Residence?
