But now it’s here, it has dropped that god awfully boring “Connected” title that people utterly hated anyway, and it can be watched over on Netflix. And oh boy, is it every bit worth the wait! The Mitchells VS The Machines tells the story of enthusiastic young filmmaker Katie Mitchell who can’t wait to go to college and get away from her father who doesn’t really seem to understand - or even want to understand - her interests. But not only does dad cancel her flight and force her along on a family road trip much to Katie’s chagrin, they don’t even make it very far on their journey until the robot apocalypse suddenly happens… leaving it up to this kooky little slapdash family to save the rest of the world from a rogue AI.
