I had originally written off Pharaoh Dynasties as a game modders couldn't do much about, but the Agony Overhaul has really surprised me. With the removal of gimmicky mechanics like the Ancient Legacies or the Civilization Collapse system, with the addition of new resources like Tin & Copper with a proper Global Trading economy and tons more features just like this, Agony makes the game actually enjoyable. There's still plenty to do and this is not the be all end all fix to everything, but it does improve Pharaoh enough to keep playing. So today I want to run through everything you need to know about Agony, the specific changes I really like (and some that I don't) and by the end I think if you at least own Pharaoh Dynasties, you might be interested to try it out for yourself!
