Allestito da American Dance Asylum, organizzazione no profit statunitense, Ichnusa Festival intende creare un ponte di cultura e spettacolo tra New York e la Barbagia Mandrolisai. L'edizione 2008 ha come tema "Tra realtà e mito" e sarà dedicata in gran parte alla New Italian Epic. Saranno ospiti della manifestazione gli scrittori più rappresentativi di questo nuovo genere letterario italiano. Il festival include inoltre esibizioni musicali di importanti musicisti jazz americani. Ichnusa Festival The event, which has reached its sixth edition, involves four centers of Barbagia-Mandrolisa,namely: Tonara, as its operational basis, Atzara, Austis and Sorgono. Organized by AmericanDance Asylum, a USA no-profit association, Ichnusa Festival intends to create a bridge of culture and show business between New York and Barbagia Mandrolisai.For instance, the 2008 edition had as theme "Between reality and Myth” and was largely dedicatedto the New Italian Epic. The event hosted the most representative writers of this new Italianliterary genre. Furthermore, the festival included musical performances of important American jazzmusicians.
