Henry: Liz, Hong Kong is going to have a national security law. How will it affect foreign investors’ confidence? Liz: We’ve been all around meeting stakeholders across the business sector, listening to their concerns. The business sector expects the law to bring long-term stability to Hong Kong – much desired after a year of turmoil Henry: Will the national security law affect Hong Kong’s foreign trade relations? Liz: Hong Kong has always engaged foreign economies as a separate customs territory, a unique status conferred by Articles 116 and 151 of the Basic Law.
