Love Hurts: Tampa 48 Hour Film Project 2018 (Shot on Alexa Mini)

The Film Jams team submitted a short into this year’s Tampa 48 Hour Film Project. Our film, "Love Hurts," was made entirely in 48 hours, including script writing, filming, VFX, and post-production. We shot the short film on the ARRI Alexa Mini with a Fujinon 20-120mm Cabrio zoom lens. "Love Hurts" was the 2018 Tampa 48 Hour Film Project Winner! Our film was nominated for 18 of 20 awards and we won Best Film, Best Directing, Best Writing, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Music, Best Sound Design, Best Graphics, and Audience choice! The 48 Hour Film Project is a global challenge that inspires local filmmakers to produce films in under 48 hours. Teams must include a character (Sam Turnbucket, city official), prop (a lamp), and line of dialogue ("Who wants to know") in order to qualify. A genre is also given, that’s different for each team.
