Self-love is constantly presented as the solution for women’s pain, exhaustion, and dissatisfaction. But what if it isn’t healing at all? What if it’s a distraction? In this video, we expose how self-love became a coping mechanism pushed onto women at the exact moment their material conditions worsened: less stability, less support, more responsibility, more emotional and unpaid labor. Instead of changing the environment, women were told to change themselves. This is a raw and honest exploration of how self-love culture redirects anger inward, teaches women to tolerate injustice, and reframes structural problems as personal failures. It looks at why women are encouraged to heal, accept, and self-regulate instead of protecting themselves, withdrawing, or demanding better conditions. This video is for women who feel tired, anxious, angry, or disconnected and have been told the answer is more inner work. It challenges the idea that calm can be forced, that safety is a mindset, and that loving yourself means enduring everything quietly. This is not anti-growth. It is pro-truth. If self-love isn’t working, it’s not because you’re failing. It’s because safety, boundaries, and power come first. Watch slowly.
