The cost effective remedy to a stripped oil pan is to retap the threads. The expensive route is to buy and install a new oil pan. I decided to try out the Stahlbus Oil Drain Valve to avoid the headache of a stripped oil pan and for quick and mess free oil changes. I picked this over the more common Fumoto drain valves due to it being smaller in size. It sticks out a couple millimeters below the skid plate which I'm comfortable with, as I have rarely if not, ever bottomed out or scrapped. I am on stock wheels and suspension and I would not run this if I was lowered. Would you run this on your M3?
