#FallenKingdom #JurassicWorld #MovieBreakdown Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom wants you to feel things! Grief, wonder, tension...but rarely earns those emotions. It plays the part of a serious film while constantly undercutting its own ideas. In this video, I break down 3 strengths and 3 weaknesses of Fallen Kingdom, from its moody horror visuals to its paper-thin twists. Because while the movie is far from terrible, its biggest issue is in how it manipulates the audience, and OBVIOUSLY at that! 🎯 What works? The horror tone actually gives the movie some teeth — literally and figuratively. Some of the setpieces (like the lava escape or the rooftop Indoraptor sequence) are genuinely creative. And say what you will about the execution, but the setup for Dominion is ambitious and world-shifting. But seriously, say what you will about Dominion. ⚠️ But it falls apart when you dig deeper: The emotions feel unearned — like the movie’s trying to cheat its way into your feelings. Over...and over....and over. Every twist is painfully predictable, stripping the story of suspense. Even certain camera shots or techniques get repeated OVER AND OVER AND OVER. And the Maisie Lockwood subplot? Bizarrely handled and central to the mess. Fallen Kingdom is slick, ambitious, and occasionally engaging — but it's also emotionally dishonest, narratively thin, and ultimately a frustrating bridge between better movies.
