In this tutorial I am going to show you how to add a yoke onto the back of your pants This is part three of the tutorial series everything pants finishings. In the first part I explained how to construct and create the front pockets and in the second one I showed how to sew in a zipper fly. If you want to make your own pants from scratch this series is very helpful to get you guided trough all the steps of making pants details. So follow along and also make sure you watch out for the two final parts on how to sew back pockets and how to add a waistband. You might wonder what a yoke is and why they even exist. Adding a Yoke to the back of pants is a way of getting rid of those classical darts in the back of your pants but still keeping the 3dimensionality of the darts. If you wold like to have a more workwear aesthetic the darts need to disappear because that’s what makes them look like suit pants. But it is not simply an aesthetically change.
