2018 Sept 08 Day 7 -- A quick side trip to Pasai Donibane, a small, beautiful neighborhood in the fishing village of Pasaia. We drove up to Pasai Donibane and walked the old town toward the famous Santiago Square. A long row of distinctive and colorful houses facing the Bay of Pasaia alone made this plaza a tourist sensation and an Instagram photo-op. In the center of the houses lies the Baroque old Town Hall, dating from 1735. Pasaia is also famous for its delectable fresh seafood dishes tasting even better with local beer or wine. Facing the calm Bay of Pasai while dining enhances one's Basque cuisine experience/adventure, certainly not to be missed. Leisurely walk along the promenade to get a closer view and final look of the Bay of Pasai and fishing sceneries before leaving the town is another must-do activity.
