Monter Hunter Rise Neopteron video guide shows you how to get the upgrade material types you need so you can upgrade the Hortadent insect glaive, the Secta Nulo Red or a whole slew of Kamura weapons. The game doesn't offer an explanation until after you've already figured the thing out, which makes it pretty useless. The idea is that you don't need specific parts from a specific monster - you need any parts from any monster belonging to a certain group. In this case, the group is Neopteron - it includes Altaroth and Bnahabra. So you need to hunt those two insects and gather any parts they drop. When you get to the smithy, you can combine them until you have enough Neopteron points to go along with the upgrade. You'll need the Neopteron material type for a bunch of weapons, including Hortadent, Secta Nulo Red, Kamura Cleaver, Sword, Spear, Hammer, Iron Axe, Heavy Bowgun, Light Bowgun, Blade, Glintblades, Gunlance, Chorus, Charge Blade and Iron Bow.
