IIT Delhi launched the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Programme, conceptualised to explore India's civilizational knowledge & wisdom for addressing contemporary challenges across four key areas: Public Systems, Technology, Education & Pedagogy and Health & Well-being. The Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Programme at IIT Delhi is a pioneering initiative to integrate India’s civilizational wisdom into modern solutions for contemporary challenges. It refers to the dynamic and inclusive corpus of knowledge, practices and living systems continuing for millenia in Bharat. IKS is rooted in shastric, classical, folk, forest and various regional cultures. The National Education Policy 2020 draws its essence from the ancient and eternal Indian Knowledge, thought and traditions. In this trajectory IKS project at IIT Delhi is a pioneering initiative in the country.
