This video has taken on a life of its own so I figured I'd add in a little FAQ: Why the Japanese version? Because it gives access to an options menu that doesn't exist in the US version that allows the lives you start with to be set to 7. This offers more chances to die on purpose and switch turtles, which I do several times to go faster, and incidentally makes the game a little easier. There is also slightly less lag in this version. The gameplay is otherwise 100% identical to the US version. Why do enemies die fast?/Why isn't Shredder immortal? If this was your experience with the game growing up you likely played a pirated copy of the game. If you remove the copyright logo from the boot up screen it automatically enables double health on all enemies and makes Shredder invincible, making the game impossible to complete. First three stages are standard fare. The biggest blemish in this run is the premature death in the subway, costing about 8 seconds*. And I still got a 140. Crazy. Second ever 140 Technodrome. 144 Sewer is excellent. Roof was okay. Sloppy Tokka fight, lost roughly 5 seconds versus a good fight. Gold Spaceship. Those last two fights were juicy. Outside of all of the planned deaths, I didn't die, making this "deathless" in that sense. Overall a very good run. I believe 34:xx is possible. *Here are two pictures [http://imgur.com/jm1FJnd] [http://imgur.com/9fOWPdR] In the first, I hit the wall the next frame, when the foot soldier would have been close enough to hit. In the second, he hits me the frame I'm hitting B to special, so next frame I would have been invincible. Absurd.
