US allies have united to work on a ‘Plan B’ for the Strait of Hormuz. At the invitation of the United Kingdom, India and more than 60 countries joined a virtual summit to discuss ways to reopen the vital waterway, whose closure has sent oil prices spiralling. UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said the talks focused on “the strength of our international determination” to reopen the strait.
