Who is the world for? Christians have the reputation of putting humans first, to the detriment of the rest of God's good creation. Words like "ecosystem services" and "natural resources" reflect this anthropocentric view that nature serves people. We also often tell Gospel story as if humans were the only ones Christ came to redeem. Ecocentrism, by contrast, understands nature as existing for nature itself, and often sees humans as intrinsically harmful to nature. But in this webinar, Rev. Dave Bookless, head of theology at A Rocha International, shares a biblical view of theocentrism - the world is for God. What does it mean for humans to be made in God's image? How does centering God's enjoyment of God's good creation shift our sense of vocation and our human relationships to the rest of the community of creation? Check out this webinar to explore these questions!
