January 5, 2025 Communion Worship Service

The Christian worship service of the United Church of Colchester, at 900 Main Street in Colchester, Vermont for Sunday, January 5, 2025. We had a delightful gathering of members and friends for worship, communion and fellowship on this first Sunday of 2025. Following the service we adjourned to the Parish Hall for a cup of coffee and conversation. This morning's sermon, entitled "The Word Became Flesh" was delivered by our pastor, Rev. Russell Willis. It was based in part on Jeremiah 31: 7-14 and John 1: 1-18. From the founding of the original church on this location in 1804, we remain committed to following in the way of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and bearing witness to the coming Kingdom of God through our life together. A Christ centered family oriented community church, we are affiliated with the American Baptist Churches of Vermont and New Hampshire. We strive to be a church family, caring for each other, our community, and through our supported missions and ministries, the world beyond.
