This seemed like an apropos way to launch this channel... We went to Trader Vic's in Emeryville, CA because I had been raving about their Mai Tais. Trader Vic's is the only place I know that makes them correctly. In fact, the restaurant's founder, Victor Jules Bergeron, Jr., is the inventor/creator of the Mai Tai. And they are AMAZING!!! (And not too sweet for a tropical cocktail!?!). The restaurant is excellent as well - authentic fair from the far corners of the world. You can smell the Chinese smokers for several blocks - and the smell is WONDERFUL! It is definitely one of our favorite foodie destinations - check it out!
