AXIAL GRID Poster Design | Design Tutorial | Adobe Illustrator

If you want to create a really dynamic and fresh typographic poster design in Illustrator based on the Axial grid systems, then this is the video for you! This is a grid system where a distinct axis line runs along or through a composition. This axis line can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal in different directions and will typically divide a composition into 2 distinct zones where text and images can then be placed or aligned on either side of the axis line. This can generate a lot of movement in a composition and create a lot of impact. In this video, we will be looking at creating a poster for a sneaker company looking to promote its product line where we will be using photography, typography and graphic images as part of the poster design. In this video, I’ll demonstrate how to use the tools of Illustrator to create this poster design specifically and later we will look at how to make some variations.
