Trekking to Mt. Pinatubo was not an easy journey—but it was absolutely worth it. The adventure started early, with registration and safety briefings before the ride to the jump-off point. From there, we hopped onto rugged 4x4 vehicles that took us across vast lahar fields. The drive alone felt like a different world—rocky terrain, river crossings, and endless gray landscapes shaped by the volcano’s powerful history. After the 4x4 ride, the real trek began. The trail was long and challenging, with uneven paths, rocky slopes, and the constant heat of the sun. Each step tested our endurance, and there were moments when exhaustion kicked in. But along the way, the views kept us going—towering canyon walls, unique rock formations, and the quiet beauty of nature slowly reclaiming the land. Reaching the summit made everything worth it. Standing before Mt. Pinatubo’s crater lake was breathtaking. The calm, turquoise water surrounded by steep cliffs felt surreal, almost unreal. All the fatigue, sweat, and struggle instantly faded, replaced by awe and a deep sense of accomplishment. This trek reminded us that the hardest journeys often lead to the most rewarding views. Mt. Pinatubo wasn’t just a hike—it was an experience we’ll never forget.
