Hi, thanks for watching our video about Which Nerve supply? Which Muscle? In this video we’ll walk you through: DHA Exam for Physiotherapist MOH Exam for Physiotherapist -HAAD Exam for Physiotherapist -Prometrics Exam for Physiotherapist -Physiotherapy Entrance Exam National physiotherapy Exam Brief about above topic: the nerves of the upper limb. The anterior branches of the spinal nerves in the lower cervical region leave the spinal cord at the level of the lower part of the neck. They link up together forming the brachial plexus, which travels through the axilla to supply the arm. Any pressure in the axilla, as from crutches, or the abnormal movement, which may occur with bad lifting techniques in a paralyzed patient, can damage the nerves and so interfere with the function of the arm. There are five main nerves leaving the brachial plexus, which with their branches supply the muscles and skin of the arms and hand. These are the musculocutaneous nerve supplying the muscles at the front of the arm as well as the skin of the lower outer arm, the median nerve supplying the flexor muscles and the skin of the palm and the two outer fingers, the ulnar nerve supplying the small muscles of the hand, the axillary nerve supplying the shoulder muscles and the overlying skin, and the radial nerve supplying the extensor muscles and the skin of part of the arm and hand. Lumbar Plexus • Iliohypogastric nerve – Relations • Psoas m. • Quadratus lumborum m. – Distribution • Muscles of the lateral abdominal wall • Skin above the inguinal ligament • Ilioinguinal nerve – Relations • Psoas m. • Quadratus lumborum m. • Inters the inguinal canal and exits from the superficial inguinal ring – Distribution • Muscles of the lateral abdominal wall • Skin above pubic symphysis and scrotum or labia majora • Lateral cutaneous nerve of the thigh – Relations • Psoas m. • Iliacus • Inguinal ligament – Divisions • Anterior • Posterior – Supply the skin over the lateral side of the thigh & knee & lower part of the buttock • Genitofemoral nerve – Relations • Psoas m. – Divisions • Genital branch – Enter spermatic cord – Supplies cremaster m. • Femoral branch – Supply small area of skin over the anterosuperior part of thigh Femoral Nerve • Largest branch of the lumbar plexus • Relations – Psoas m. – Iliacus m. – Inguinal ligament – Femoral sheath • In the abdomen – Muscular branch to iliacus • In the thigh – Muscular branches • Sartorius, pectineus & quadriceps femoris – Cutaneous branches • Medial cutaneous n. of the thigh • Intermediate cutaneous n. of the thigh • Saphenous n. – Articular branches (hip & knee) Obturator Nerve: Relations • Emerge from the medial border of the psoas m. • Cross the pelvic brim posterior to common iliac vessels • Runs on the lateral wall of the pelvis between internal and external iliac vessels • Accompanies the obturator vessels • Exit through the obturator canal 00:00 Introduction 00:14 Question: 1 00:35 Question: 2 0:56 Question: 3 1:25 Question: 4 1:48 Question: 5 2:08 Question: 6 2:30 Question: 7 2:52 Question: 8 3:15 Question: 9 3:38 Question: 10 3:58 Question: 11 4:23 Question: 12 4:45 Question: 13 5:06 Question: 14 5:32 Question: 15 5:56 Question: 16 6:20 Question: 17 6:40 Question: 18 7:02 Question: 19 7:27 Question: 20 #nerve #nerveandmuscle#ymcq #physiotherapyvideos #nerveandmusclephysiologyguyton #nerveandmuscle #nerveandmusclephysiology #nerveandmuscleand #nerveanatomy #nerveanatomyandphysiology #anatomynerveupperlimb #nervousanatomyandphysiology #radialnerveanatomy #facialnerveanatomy #mediannerveanatomy #sciaticnerveanatomy #ulnarnerveanatomy ABOUT OUR CHANNEL Our channel is about Physiotherapy Questionnaire.
