This was one of my small attempts to try and get across a concept which is not well known or understood. I used Excel to model level control in a tank where there is override control. The concept I want to demonstrate is reset feedback and how it works on a modern control system. Many control systems engineers are not aware of how this is achieved, and some control systems do not even have this functionality. The relevance of it is clearly demonstrated in mitigating losing inventory in this case. This concept is fundamental in modern process control for complex override problems and can be exploited to do some even cooler advanced regulatory control.
