Esco Streamline® Compounding Isolator (SCI) The premium solution for aseptic drug compounding. This video is about a short demonstration on how to properly replace the gloves and sleeves of the Streamline® Compounding Isolator. Both the gloves and sleeves will be contaminated over time, so it is advised that during this replacement procedure, the appropriate PPE should be worn. The schedule of the glove and sleeve replacement will be dictated by the isolator’s intended application and the usage frequency. The glove assembly is composed of the following materials: The Hypalon sleeve The cuff rings The O-rings The Glove Replacement Procedure: 1. Pull the glove and sleeve outside the isolator. 2. Fold the fingers of the glove inside the cuff ring 3. Remove the O-ring 4. Carefully roll the glove from the inner groove to the middle groove 5. Take the new glove, attach it to the cuff ring ensuring that the thumb is at the top. 6. Stretch the ring of the new glove over the port and over the old glove onto the middle groove. 7. Install the ring up to the inner groove 8. Carefully loosen the old glove from the middle groove. 9. Put the glove and sleeve inside the isolator 10. Working with one hand in the adjacent glove, carefully remove the old glove The Sleeve Replacement Procedure: 1. Remove the O ring. 2. Carefully roll the open end of the old sleeve from the inner groove to the outer groove of the port. Note: Ensure that both the old sleeve and glove are inside the isolator. 3. Attach the new sleeve and ensure that the thumb of the glove is positioned at the top 4. Remove the old sleeve while under the new one. 5. Return the O ring into its original place in the groove of the glove port. 6. Carefully work the old sleeve from the outer groove and into the isolator.
